Procter and Street has extensive experience in planning and managing projects within the high voltage and extra high voltage cables sector (220kV and 400kV). These cables often originate from offshore windfarms and terminate at new converter stations and are usually undertaken through a Development Consent Order, meaning landowner agreements and conforming to the DCO are an important part of a successful delivery.We can offer a variety of expertise in relation to the export of underground EHV transmission cables, including:

Hornsea 2 Offshore Windfarm.
P&S staff member, Jack Procter, was an integral part of the successful delivery of the Hornsea 2 Cable Export which included 3 circuits of 220kV crossing 37km of East Lincolnshire and 21 separate joint bays. The project had multiple challenges from complex temporary works, varying HDD crossings including major rivers and railways and sensitive environmental and ecological constraints.
